Excellent place for a peaceful weekend get away. We enjoyed the homestay, the room and the bathroom was clean, service was top notch, food was excellent! overall, we had great experience with Mr. Somashekar and his wife Asha. They were very friendly and helpful. One of the nicest places we have visited. We will surely be visiting again soon!

"Wonder place for watching birds. Just like the name you find a lot of sparrows and different species of birds. The coffee estate is a nice place to do some hike (0.5km form the stay) Amazing traditional malnad food. Wonderful hosts. Me and my spouse enjoyed a lot. "

"Gubbachi Goodu as name itself says it is nest for birds. This nest is surrounded by beautiful garden with different types of flowers and Plants. The Cottages are very Hygiene and pretty. Gubbachi Goodu!! Me and wife went to this place and stayed there for 2 nights and 3 days. This is undoubtedly one of the BEST homestays I have ever stayed in.! The accommodation and facilities are amazing. The place is very clean and the rooms are very tidy to live in. The surroundings are very serene! The couple who looks after this place, Mr. Somashekar and Mrs. Asha are great hosts. The quality and taste of the food provided in this place is JUST AMAZING and DELICIOUS! The couple is very supportive. I was very happy for the way the couple extended their support for celebration of my wife’s birthday. “Filter Coffee” is a must taste drink from this homestay. "Home Away From Home" is just what it is! We are definitely visiting this place back again! Blindly rating 5 stars to this place.

"One of the finest home stays to stay and relax. Thanks to the couple Mr. and Mrs Somashekhar for the best hospitality provided. The traditional food and snacks served is very delicious. The home stay is located in the midst of coffee estates and only nature makes some noise here. The greenary around makes us feel relaxed. The place and the rooms are very tidy. The veranda in front of the home stay is spacious for the kids to play and enjoy. We were a group of 14 and each one of us came back with only good memories. Thanks to Somashekar and Asha. "

Sweet home away from home. We stayed here for 2 days. It was a family outing. Great experience and perhaps the best said an example of what a homestay is all about. The hospitality, cleanliness, confort and everything was superb and above our expectation. The hosts do really believe in "Athithi Devo Bhava" in every real sense. Variety of food items for each of breakfast, lunch and dinner was really awesome. The food was very tasty & delicious and all appreciation to the madam who herself prepared the food. Overall a memorable stay. I have no hesitation to recommend the homestay to anyone who wants to visit Chikmagaluru. Sincere thanks to Mrs. and Mr. Somashekar who have taken good care of us during our short stay.

Hey people. It was a great stay we had in Gubbachi Goodu, myself and 9 more friends were there at the home stay and we enjoyed all the activities that were available there. The food was awesome and served perfection. Service was prompt. Special thanks to Mr. Somashekar the owner of the home stay he managed our home stay to perfection. The roms and the attached baths are concerned they were flawless and all the bed linen were spotless white. This goes the long way in showing commitment towards cleanliness. Overall this home stay is offering excellent value for money for the tariff that they are charging and what they are providing compared to the other home stay in Chikmagalur.
